Whilst you are with us in Whitby, why not eat out, take a taxi somewhere, hire a bike or go to the post office!
EATING OUT
Please note, it's best to book as the restaurants soon get full, especially at the weekend.

HARRY’S BAR
We like Harry's Bar on the Pier Road (5 min walk) which gets quite lively (best porn star martini's on the planet!). They do nice food, with a tapas option, you may find us enjoying a cocktail on a Sunday afternoon after a hard week's work! - Harry's Web Site

MADEMOISELLES
Just opposite Highgate House, so not far to walk, this lovely, small, French Bistro does heart warming food and Sarah and her team look after you brilliantly. Their Gin's are fabulous too! - Mademoiselles Web Site

BRAMBLEWICK FISH & GRILL
A 10 minute taxi ride to Robin Hood's Bay (we call it 'Bay' locally), if you are a sea food lover, its worth the trip. The small team do fantastic food and you can finish off your evening with a drink at the quirky pub opposite. The Dock, Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby YO22 4SH, Phone: 01947 880187   Bramblewick Web Site

WHITE HORSE AND GRIFFIN
Over the bridge, second left up on the right. Seems like a very small pub but when you walk to the back you see a friendly and warm restaurant. Food is great.  - White Horse and Griffin Web Site

ESTBECK HOUSE
For a more romantic, pricey meal we'd go to Estbeck House at Sandsend.  (5 min taxi ride) - Estbek House Web Site

COSA NOSTRA
There's an Italian, Cosa Nostra (5 mins, over the bridge). We had a good meal there, good atmosphere – typical Italian  - Cosa Nostra

DITTO
There's also Ditto - which is 100 yards away from us on Skinner St. It's a small, cosy, friendly little bistro though it gets very booked up so if you want to eat here book way in advance - Ditto Web Site

THE MOON & SIXPENCE
Great atmosphere, more of a bar but the food is great. Cocktails are lovely - they often have two for one happy hours so time it right and you're in for a treat. On the harbour,  (5 min walk) -  Moon and Sixpence Web Site

ABBEY WHARF
Over the bridge, left passed the shops. Great atmosphere, gets really lively at a weekend, good view (it overlooks the harbour) nice hearty food (doesn't serve until very late so go early).  Lots of different beers! - Abbey Wharf Web Site

HUMBLE PIE N' MASH
Fantastic pie, mash and peas with lovely gravy. What's not to like!? We love this place. It gets busy and the ambience is quirky. They don't serve alcohol but you can get drinks from the pub across the road (we haven't bothered doing this, just a lovely old fashioned lemonade does the job). - Humble Pie Web Site

THE MARINE
We've eaten here a few times, always good quality food, down by the harbour - 5 mins walk - The Marine Hotel Web Site

MOUTREYS
Italian. Just over the bridge on the right. - Moutreys Web Site

THE STAR IN THE HARBOUR
Opened last year. Pretty nice overall.  Nice spot for having a drink outside in the sun too. - Star Inn The Harbour Web Site
BREAKFAST IS AVAILABLE FROM THOSE RESTAURANTS HIGHLIGHTED IN RED BELOW
