2015 Refurbishment
We moved into the house in march 2015 and by September we'd carried out an extensive refurbishment of the whole property including the installation of fire alarms, new hot water system, four new en-suite bathrooms, one new large bathroom and a fully refurbished original bathroom. We lived on site whilst our builders, plumbers, tilers, joiners all worked around us. Our Brother and Sister in law (Chris and Richard) came to join in the redecoration efforts and over several months we painted, wall papered, tiled and carpeted every surface in the whole house. An exhausting project, which involved us working dawn til dusk for many months. We hope you will agree it was all worthwhile.
Front, hall, dining room
We added outside lighting, replanted the garden, added a patio and rock garden and decorated everywhere. We tried to renovate the original tiled floor but it wasn't possible though its still there, intact under the wooden floor.
Bedrooms
Originally six bedrooms on the first floor we used one of them for two new en-suites. We added another two en-suites and re-did the bathroom (kept the original 105 year old bath), installed fire alarms, upgraded the doors to fire rated and decorated everywhere.
Living Room
The last room we did as this isn't available for guests. We wanted a soft and restful look. The alcoves took some wall papering!
